SCPT's Second Biennial Conference: Wisdom of Love
Call for Papers

Continental philosophy of religion has recently turned to issues concerning love. We welcome papers that address such questions as: What is the difference between eros and agape? How do we practice love hermeneutically? Must a phenomenology of the other address love to be truly complete? Does love or charity reverse or radicalize intentionality? What is the relation of the three Christian virtues of faith, hope, and love? Are knowledge and love related? We encourage papers that draw on such figures as Chrétien, Derrida, Irigaray, Kierkegaard, Levinas, and Marion; such philosophical traditions as deconstruction, feminist philosophy, hermeneutics, and phenomenology; and such religious traditions as Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Only complete papers with a maximum of 3,000 words will be accepted. DEADLINE: January 7, 2005 Papers should be prepared for blind review and sent to
